We have been thinking about trading our rig now that we have had it for 3 seasons. Living in a small space for an extended period of time made us want a few more conveniences. We wanted to stay under 30' so have been looking at RV shows for a while. A dealer in Silverdale was having an open house in early June so we went to check it out and found a rig the had most of the features we wanted. All except for a different bed configuration but we decided all the pluses out weighed the negatives. 3 slides, electric awning with lights, triple the counter space, an out door kitchen which gave us another refrigerator plus a larger one inside, bigger shower, bath and ability to brush our teeth without hitting our heads on the med cabinet, fireplace (Sonny really wanted!), ceiling fan all by adding only a foot in length. So far, we're pretty happy with it.
Driving home at the beginning of June was a hard trip over the mountain passes. The truck had no power and struggled to get any speed up. Sonny took it in and found out the turbo inner cooler was broken. Maybe when the deer hit me or the plastic joints just wore out. Very expensive repair but the truck tows effortlessly, now. Sonny also had a deer guard installed and deer whistles on the Jeep just in case another deer jumps out.
